Our Favorite Products
Working with senior cats for a while, we have come to have some favorite "must have" products to keep both you and your senior cat happy and healthy. Check out the lists below to help you care for your own senior. Please note that our Founder receives a commission if you use the links below and uses these funds to donate back to the rescue so that we can continue to help the super senior cats in our care.
The Essentials
From monitoring your cat's health and getting them to eat, to fountains and cleaning tools, we've got you covered!
Cat Favorites
These are some of our cat's favorite products, which we also love because we know they are good for them!
Water Fountain
This is a new buy for us and so far, the cats love this fountain. It is easy to clean and can be used without a cord making finding a place for it easy. It is also amazingly quiet. Find replacement filters here.
Kidney Care
Kidney Disease is very common in older cats, but it can be managed to help your senior live a longer and happier life.
Phosphorus Care
We use Niacinamide to reduce the phosphorus levels in our kidney cats (when needed, which means those that won't eat a kidney prescription diet). Learn more about it here.
Medication Helpers
All the essentials to help your cat take their very important medications and supplements for a longer life.
Meal Time
Some of our favorite products revolving around what we hope our senior cats continue to do - eat!
Dry Food Bowls
If your senior likes to snack on some extra kibble (yes...some dry is okay), these bowls make it easier for them to get to the food without causing whisker fatigue. Cheaper when you buy two and gives you a backup! We use with the Food Table.
Food Table
We use this food table to give some height to our favorite dry food bowl. It is easy to clean and has low profile non-skid feet so it doesn't move around. And it comes it many colors - pick your cat's favorite color!
Litter Helpers
Probably the thing most of us don't like about loving cats is the litter. Here are some great items to keep peace with the potty!
Refining Scooper
We are sharing this in case other people out there are as obsessed as we are about removing all of the pee clumps from the litterbox...even those tiny pieces that inherently pop up when a mound breaks apart. Use this scoop after your usual scooper to pick up the fine small pieces that seem to always remain the box. Trust us...it works!
Hello Privacy!
If you don't have a huge amount of space, one of these can help keep the litterbox easily accessible for your senior, while also not broadcasting to every visitor that you have a litterbox in your family room! We used velcro to secure to the ceramic floor (which is easily removed when needed).
Fur & Nail Care
As our cats age, they may not groom as often or as well as when they were younger, mostly due to arthritis, but also due to certain medical conditions. These tools help keep your senior clean and mat free.
Kitchen & Storage
How to keep cat things organized and fresh!
Dry Food Storage
Usually pet products are overpriced so we often buy regular products for cat purposes. This storage container is the perfect match for dry food - the seal is very tight and it already comes with a scooper that measures up to 1 cup. It won't fit a full bag of food, so we have several.
Wet Food Storage - 8 oz
We need a way to store cat food that we puree with our Ninja Chopper and this jar is a great size for this purpose (and others!). We replace the lid with a plastic leak proof lid (below) and then it is perfect for storing the food in the refrigerator and keeps the food fresh.
Just for Fun!
Both we and our seniors deserve to have some fun...here are some items we love!
