Litter Helpers

Probably the thing most of us don't like about loving cats is the litter. Here are some great items to keep peace with the potty!

Senior Litterbox

The essential senior cat litterbox - low with a wider opening makes getting in and out of the box (which may be frequent if your senior has kidney disease) easier for a senior cat. This box can also fit a standard size pee pad if your cat prefers that over traditional litter.

Scoop Holder

Being a bit of a clean freak, having the litter scoopers in these just keeps everything clean and tidy. They are easy to clean and sit nicely next to each of our litter boxes without being an eyesore.

Litter Bags

One of the best litter finds we've had over the years. These bags completely hold the smell of your cat's litter business until you dispose of them for good. We keep a box of these next to every litter scooper holder.

Pee Pads

We use these everywhere - under and in front of litterboxes, under feeding stations, and in each cat's carrier. We like this brand the best - they hold up very well and retain fluid amazingly well.

Refining Scooper

We are sharing this in case other people out there are as obsessed as we are about removing all of the pee clumps from the litterbox...even those tiny pieces that inherently pop up when a mound breaks apart. Use this scoop after your usual scooper to pick up the fine small pieces that seem to always remain the box. Trust us...it works!

Hello Privacy!

If you don't have a huge amount of space, one of these can help keep the litterbox easily accessible for your senior, while also not broadcasting to every visitor that you have a litterbox in your family room! We used velcro to secure to the ceramic floor (which is easily removed when needed).

Fur & Nail Care

As our cats age, they may not groom as often or as well as when they were younger, mostly due to arthritis, but also due to certain medical conditions. These tools help keep your senior clean and mat free.

Mat Remover

This mat remover is very gentle so it won't pull our senior cat's thin skin. Go slow with it - we typically hold the mat as close to the skin as possible while using any mat remover to limit the amount of pull on their skin. Going too fast or too hard can hurt and result in bleeding.

Cat Comb

This comb is gentle, but effective. The teeth are plastic, making it gentle on the thinner skin of older cats and yet is still effective in removing fur and helping with any matting. For the cat, it feels like a gentle massage resulting in happy cats and happy humans!

Wipes

Sometimes you may need to help your senior cat with grooming, especially after a litterbox visit. These wipes are substantial and unscented / hypoallergenic, which means we are big fans. Our cats usually don't mind them until we try to clean their "off limit zones" like the paws.

Nail Clippers

We wish we knew about these clippers years ago because they are the best we have ever used. They have thinner blades and seem sharper, which helps with old kitty nails that are usually thicker.

Kitchen & Storage

How to keep cat things organized and fresh!

Dry Food Storage

Usually pet products are overpriced so we often buy regular products for cat purposes. This storage container is the perfect match for dry food - the seal is very tight and it already comes with a scooper that measures up to 1 cup. It won't fit a full bag of food, so we have several.

Treat Storage

We use these minis for treats as well as Fortiflora and Imuquin packets. They keep treats fresh and make organizing cat items a breeze. You can store anything in these and you can stack them. Yeah...we need to buy more of these! We don't use the leveler most of the time.
